A fantastic alternative to cane reeds.
The original Legere is available for all Clarinets and Saxophones. This design is most suited to players requiring soft to medium strength reeds and all the low pitch instruments. We have had many converts from Alto, Tenor and Baritone Sax players in particular.
We also suggest that intermediate and advanced Clarinetists also consider the newly released Legere Signature series (new 2009) truly outstanding performance available at medium and stronger strengths, 3 to 4.25 in quarter strengths.
For all Saxophonists with Jazz mouthpieces we strongly suggest you look at the Legere Studio Cut that is designed for wider tip opening mouthpieces where flexibility in a reed is desired more free blowing than the original design.
The unique patented synthetic material Dr.Guy Legere and his colleague Professor Mark Kortschot have developed has behavioral characteristics very similar to natural cane. It is both light and stiff enough to vibrate at the speed needed to create an immediate vibrant, resonant sound.
